Tree for Boston Celebrations

On December 6, 1917, two ships collided in Halifax Harbour, causing a devastating explosion. It killed nearly 2,000 people and left hundreds severely injured and homeless.

Nova Scotia will never forget the support, kindness, and quick response the people of Boston provided after the explosion. To say thank you, the province will once again give Boston the gift of a beautiful Christmas tree.

This year, the Tree for Boston celebrations will be virtual due to the COVID-19 global pandemic. We must remain committed to following the COVID-19 public health measures, so we stay safe in both Canada and the USA.  More information at https://novascotia.ca/treeforboston.
