As we enter phase 5, living with COVID, there are several steps organizers and staff of events, tournaments, venues and facilities can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses. Events, venues and facilities should encourage and continue with preventive public health measures. These personal and public health measures not only help to prevent the spread of COVID-19, but also other illnesses such as the common cold and influenza.
Wearing non-medical masks continues to be mandatory in indoor public places. See the most recent public health order.
Nova Scotians can find accurate, up-to-date information, handwashing posters and fact sheets at novascotia.ca/coronavirus.
Events Nova Scotia in partnership with our government colleagues at Alcohol and Gaming, Labour and Advanced Education, Occupational Health and Safety, Public Health and Environment have developed a set of guidelines to help communities, event planners and venues plan and host safe events.
